Ingredients for Sweet Amruthpalam
Rice - 1 pav
Freshly grated coconut - 1
Jaggery - 1 pav
Elaichi – 4
Hot to prepare:
1. Wash and soak rice for 4 hrs.
2. Take a mixie jar add rice, coconut, jaggery, elaichi, and grind to a fine paste adding little water.
3. Take a thick bottom vessel, pour the content and keep mixing in low flame, add water if needed in between till it leaves the sides or wet your hands tap on it, if it doesn't stick it's done. (Takes around 10-15 minutes on low flame for perfect texture)
4. Grease a plate with ghee, pour and flatten it. Rest it for 30 mins and cut into the desired shape and enjoy.
Traditional Sweet Amruthpalam is ready with simple ingredients.
